We’ve got some very special workshops lined up for you this year. Here’s a chance to get one up close and personal with some of your favorite creatives! Note: You must be registered for General Admission to register tor these add-on a la carte workshops. The person’s name registered for Crop General Admission MUST be the person attending the workshop (i.e. no registering general admission for yourself and having someone else attend the workshop. Procreate Illustrative Lettering
with Belinda Kou

Learn how to create a lettering piece in Procreate from start to finish with Belinda Kou! You’ll also pick up some time-saving tricks that’ll make you feel like a wizard. In this workshop, you’ll see how mastering Procreate lettering is a lot like perfecting a bowl of ramen. You get to navigate the full process: from setting up your canvas, executing and finalizing two different lettering styles, to adding illustrative touches, and exporting your artwork. After this workshop, you’ll be able to letter with confidence and share with ease. Some prior experience with the basic tools will help but isn't necessary. Come ready with your iPad, Apple Pencil, and Procreate…and probably a snack or two!

VIRTUAL • DDC Logo Bootcamp

Each student will attack a logo on their own with guidance from Aaron Draplin of the Draplin Design Co. Could be something you are currently working on, or, have always wanted to make. The workshop will be two hours and a very limited capacity. Questions will be answered. Riddles will be solved. Enigmas will be discussed. Oh yeah, and door prizes! Don’t miss out!

No matter your tools or ability to create for the web, this class helps you get you excited to sell yourself and celebrate your work. You’ll learn to control the narrative for your viewer’s experience, claim your own identity, position yourself uniquely, finally decide if you need a specialty, write your dang bio, decide on a plan for your copy, and keep things feeling authentic to you. By the end, you’ll have the scariest parts of your portfolio figured out so you can design and publish with peace of mind.

Nothing required! The workshop comes with a workbook, but feel free to bring a computer or tablet if you find writing easier in that format....
